A fancy way to serve green beans.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted butter, room temperature (I usually use regular butter)
- 1/3 cup Slivered almonds
- Coarse salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 pounds Fresh green beans, cleaned and snapped (can use frozen regular or French style)
Directions
- Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add almonds and cook, stirring until golden brown, 2-3 minutes. Bring large pot of water to a boil. Trim green beans into strips. Add beans to boiling water and cook 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and transfer to a large serving bowl. Add butter and almonds, toss. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.
