Claire Cookies

oatmeal cookies for little hands
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup dried fruit
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla, mix
well. Sift dry ingredients together, add slowly to wet ingredients.
Stir in oats and fruit. - Drop cookies by the tablespoon on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes ~30 cookies.
Notes
- not exactly a health food, but you could do worse with a cookie! I make
these often for Claire (and mommy and daddy too). I switch up the fruit
between raisins, cherries, cranberries, blueberries,etc. - Nutrition Stats:
