Italian Cheese Pie

This quiche has a distinctly Italian flavor.  You might like to emphasis this by using more oregano.  Julienne slices of cheese and pepperoni make an appropriate garnish


  • 3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons diced scallions
  • 1-9 inch unbaked pastry shell
  • 3 eggs, beated
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 3/4 teaspoon fresh oregano or 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano


    • Combine cheese, pepperoni an scallions.  Sprinkle in pasty shell.  Combine eggs, half and half and oregano and beat with an electric mixer.  Pour into pastry shell.  bake at 350* for 45 minutes.  Allow to stand 10 minutes before cutting.


      Serves 6.
