This is a big crispy cookie that is great with milk or coffee.
Ingredients
- 0.75 C. all purpose flour
- 0.5 TSP baking soda
- 0.75 TSP coarse salt
- 1 stick unsalted butter softened
- 6 TBSP granulated sugar
- 6 TBSP light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 TSP vanilla extract
- 0.25 TSP water
- 1 C. rolled oats
- 6 oz (.75 C.) whatever you want to add in (we like two variations a mix of white choc chips, crasins and macadamia nuts or a mix of semi-sweet chunks and unsweetened coconut)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 . Butter or line with parchment two baking pans.
- In a small bowl whisk together baking soda, flour and salt. Cream together butter, sugars, vanilla, water and egg. Add in sifted bowl of dry ingredients. Stir in oats and chip mix. Use a medium ice cream scoop to measure half-scoops of dough onto the cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with hand so that the cookies bake evenly. Give these cookies plenty of room to spread. Usually only 6 to a sheet pan. Bake ~ 12 – 14 minutes.
