This is a traditional food at Christmas and the Holidays. It is sometimes used as a bartering item in our family.
Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 3+ cups Wheat Chex
- 2+ cups Crispix
- 2+ cups Corn Chex
- 2+ cups Cheerios
- 1-12 ounce can salted cocktail peanuts
- 2+ cups broke pretzels sticks, small bite size waffle pretzels or 1 bag goldfish pretzel
Directions
- Mix all cereal, pretzels and peanuts in a roating pan. Melt butter in a sauce pan. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture. Mix well. Heat oven to 250*. Bake mixture in an open roasting pan for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Mom has also addedd sesame sticks and cashews with everything else. If you add a lot of extra things, you will need to add more butter and seasonings.
