This is a traditional food at Christmas and the Holidays. It is sometimes used as a bartering item in our family.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 3+ cups Wheat Chex
  • 2+ cups Crispix
  • 2+ cups Corn Chex
  • 2+ cups Cheerios
  • 1-12 ounce can salted cocktail peanuts
  • 2+ cups broke pretzels sticks, small bite size waffle pretzels or 1 bag goldfish pretzel

Directions

  • Mix all cereal, pretzels and peanuts in a roating pan. Melt butter in a sauce pan. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture. Mix well. Heat oven to 250*. Bake mixture in an open roasting pan for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Mom has also addedd sesame sticks and cashews with everything else. If you add a lot of extra things, you will need to add more butter and seasonings.
