Pumpkin Squares

Fall is in the air. Here is a recipe for pumpkin squares submitted by Jen Pearson , a family friend of Sarah Wissman.


  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-29 ounce can pumpkin pie mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine


  • Preheat oven to 350. Reserve 1 cup of the cake mix. To remaining mix, cut in ½ cup softened butter and one egg. Press into a greased 9 x13 inch pan. Mix canned pie mix with 2 eggs and the milk. Pour over crust in pan. To reserved cake mix, add sugar and cinnamon. Cut in ¼ cup butter or margarine. Sprinkle evenly over pie mix. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. Cool, cover and chill.


  • May be made one day ahead of time.
