Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

This is one pretty tasty bread that can be served as breakfast. The glaze is what makes it so good. It is like heaven in a loaf.

Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/8 cup oil
  • 1 ½ cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Poppy seeds
  • 3 cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract

Glaze:

  • ¼ cup Orange juice
  • ¾ cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Cream first 3 ingredients. Add sifted dry ingredients. Alternating with milk, add extracts. Pour into 2 loaf pans. Drizzle glaze over loaves witch have been pricked with fork. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
