Chicken supreme is a rich dish fit for a king

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can Minot or evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Slivered almonds
  • Rice

    • Boil chicken breasts until tender.  Remove from bone and save broth.  Cut chicken into small pieces.  Combine garlic powder, mushroom soup, evaporated milk and cheddar cheese.  Bring to a boil and remove from heat.  Add, a little at a time, wine and mayonnaise, stirring after each addition.  Place breast pieces in 9×13 baking dish.  Pour sauce over chicken and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Bake at 350 for 30 minutes until sauce is bubbly. Sprinkle with almonds, bake 5 minutes more.  Serve over rice cooked in the chicken broth.
