Meatloaf

A great recipe for feeding a family. Who doesn’t like meatloaf? Submited by Marlene Scott, a family friend of Sarah Wissman.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  • Mix together ground beef and next 6 ingredients. Mix ¼ cup tomato sauce and remaining ingredients to make sauce. Put meat mixture in a 9×5 inch baking pan and pour sauce over loaf. Bake at 350 for 1 ½ hours

  • Great as leftover on sadwiches
