Mom Hick’s Chili

A great chili for those cold winter nights.
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1-6 ounce can tomato paste
- 1 pound can chopped tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 cans kidney beans
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Tabasco sauce to taste
Directions
- Brown the ground beef, onions and pepper in a skillet. Drain fat. Incorporate tomatoes, and tomato paste. Transfer to a large pot. Add water, beans, garlic and spices. Mix well and simmer covered for about an hour. Add Tabasco to taste.
