Grandma Wissman’s Special Fudge

A favorite treat of the Wissman family submitted by Dolores Wissman, Grandma to Kim and Brian Wissman.
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Combine cocoa with sugar and salt. Add milk, bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Cook until a small amount of the mixture forms a ball when dropped in water. Remove from heat. Drop in butter. Cool to lukewarm, add vanilla, and then heat until mixture thickens. Place fudge in pan and cut when cooled completely.
