This unusual, although quite tasty, cake is courtesy of Sarah Wissman’s mom, Marlene Vandegrift. The recipe says to frost with Coca-Cola Frosting, that recipe can be found here.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 3 tablespoons Cocoa
- ½ cup Buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 cup Coca-Cola
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Soda
- 1 ½ cups Mini marshmallows
Directions
- Sift together flour, sugar and cocoa. In a saucepan, combine butter and Coca-Cola. Heat to boiling. Pour this liquid over the dry ingredients and stir. Do not beat and do not use an electric mixer. Add the salt, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in marshmallows. Pour into a greased 9×13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
