Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This is an extremely moist bread that is a great use for those overripe bananas
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 bananas, mashed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375*. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, mashed bananas and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients, add to banana mixture. Add chocolate chips and stir just until blended. Pour into 2 greased and floured 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch bread pans. Bake 1 hour at 375*. Check after 50 minutes of baking time.
Notes
- Can be made into muffins as well.
